Browse the map and tap any pin to discover businesses, events and people across South Africa. It's free to browse!

For Advertisers

• Register with your email — you get 7 free credits to start.
• 1 credit = 1 day of visibility for your advert or live location on the map.
• Place an advert for your business or yourself. All your credits are used automatically.
• When credits run out, your pin turns grey and is only visible to you. Buy more credits to renew.
• Show your live location on the map (1 credit/day) — always off by default, you control it.

Your Data & Privacy

• You can edit or delete your adverts at any time from your dashboard.
• You can delete your entire account and all associated data permanently at any time.
• We comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa.
• Your location is never shared unless you explicitly turn on "Show Me" — it's off by default.
• We only store what you provide: email, display name, and advert details.

Terms & Conditions

By registering and using UBUNTUMAP ("the Service"), you agree to the following:

1. Acceptance. Use of this Service constitutes acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree, do not register or use the Service.
2. No Illegal Activity. You may not use UBUNTUMAP for any unlawful purpose. No advertising of illegal goods, services, or activities. We cannot monitor all content but will remove listings reported or found to violate this policy.
3. Content Responsibility. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of your advert content. UBUNTUMAP does not endorse, verify, or guarantee any listed businesses, services, or individuals.
4. Limitation of Liability. UBUNTUMAP, its owners, operators, and affiliates are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
5. Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless UBUNTUMAP and its owners from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or your advert content.
6. Refunds. Credits are non-refundable once purchased. Unused credits remain available until used.
7. Account Deletion. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time via the dashboard, in accordance with POPIA.
8. Modifications. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
9. Governing Law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
